This is not the same mechanic as Target Zone. Pulse Lock is a resonance timing lane:
the live pulse ring expands and contracts from the core, and your job is to lock when it overlaps the active band.
Alpha and Shadow keep the same rules, but each mode changes the pressure feel and visual profile.
